A Great New Addition
3.10.07
Sad days...
We are in the middle of the great coffee drought. It's a sad time, but most days hope still remains. Closed for almost a month was not the way we planned to spend the autumn... but these things happen.
Currently we are raising money for a new machine, as our old baby has let us down.

A New Home
We have moved and now have walls, a funky bar ( made of bricks and an old door) and a Koslig atmosphere! Special thanks to Øystein and Beate for their hours of hard work! This wouldn't have been possible without those two (they are also some of our most faithful customers!)
Last night we had the Grand Opening in our new location, and it was a hit!

So... I guess the photo says it all! :-)
I'd also like to announce that we now have added the flavors: Maccadamia and Tiramisu!

Heavy Drinkers
Featuring our newest flavours:
Almond Roca & White Chocolate Sauce!
It was a great time when the DTS returned from outreach! We drank a lot of coffee... these guys know what it is to be passionate about something you've been waiting for! I applaud the courage to try new flavours and a special thanks to all those who request a "Latte Surprise" - I love to experiment!!

Back in Business
Those of us at Jessie Mae's Coffee Bistro would like to sincerely apologize for our temporary closure last week. Unfortunately, due to the large amount of accumulated snow, it took longer than we had hoped to exchange our faulty equipment. We hope that our faithful customers have survived during this setback. Special apologies to Lena-Anette, who came all the way from Hamar and hoped to experience some famous Flekkerøy Coffee!
However, we are now pleased to announce that the new machine has arrived,
and we are back in business!
"Let them drink Lattes!"

Some of the quotes for the evening were:
“Better than Freaking Larsens & Herligland!”
“Very good coffee, it was very good. Cookies was very good”
“Very cheap, and very good coffee”
“Perfect”
“Very Experimental”
“The best view!”
“Couches are very nice”
“It’s cozy by the fire”
“Owner is very sweet”
“I especially like the candles”
“It’s better than McDonalds”
For me the highlights were seeing how well the bar setup worked. The wonderful variety of drinks ordered! That makes it much more fun to create!
I love the look of the drinks when I have done a good job – and I love handing those beautiful creations to the customers. The thick layer of crema on top of my espresso… the foamed milk sitting beautifully on top of the cappuccino - these were the moments that marked the evening for me.
I admit it… I can be just slightly obsessively passionate about things. So, it’s more studying and practice for this amateur barista! Perfection is.... well, it's perfection!
